Roving Reporter- Tuesday, October 2nd

Roving Reporter-Simon #14 Oct.2, 2012
In the morning at 8:00, we went to do 3 laps around the field for our morning run. We were sweaty, but when we went into our classroom, it was so refreshing. We unpacked our heavy backpacks and got out our Language Arts stuff. We took out a correcting pen and our Practice Book. We, the students and the teacher corrected pg.80 together. Some people didn’t do the homework and got a HAM, that’s when you don’t do your homework. After that was finished, we copied them down in our yellow journal. We then corrected them on our journals. Then, some people went to the board and corrected them from their point of view. Some people got all of the mistakes, and others got most of them too, but not all. When we finished that, the teacher acted mad and named what she did, or what she looked like.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      There were about 4-5 things that we came up with, besides what she was saying. When that was over, we had 5 min. to write about the expression,” She’s tired.” We had to write about 5-8 sentences, so we had to hurry! There were a lot of great stories and ideas. When we finished that, we read and did a Cause and Effect on a story called, “To California.” We came up with lots of ideas and wrote them down on our Language Arts journal. Not long after, we played a game called, “Cause and Effect.” It is a card where there a cause, plus an effect on one side. You have to guess which one is the cause, and which one is the effect. We read the story, “Valley of the Moon”, and we only had time to make 2 Cause and Effect ideas. We put everything away and got out our Math stuff. The bell for recess had rung, and the President (Orion) called us, table by table to line up for recess. After recess, we corrected our math homework.                                                                                                                                                                                   Then, she gave us a problem that might make us stubborn and don’t know what to do, that’s when the teacher teaches it to us. We did a problem with the teacher to make sure we understand what she taught us. We did the assignment that the teacher gave us and worked with the people that needed help understanding. The bell rang for lunch, so we put everything away and the President dismissed the kids to line up for lunch. After lunch, the teacher read one chapter of a book called, “HADDIX.” We then finished watching the movie, “Born to be Wild.” When the movie ended, we copied our homework down and packed up. When we finished packing up, the bell rang for, “SCHOOL’S OVER!!!!!”
