Another Week in the Books!

We finished off our 2nd week of 5th grade today!
After almost a full day of math, (sorry...) we ended the day with some much needed movement, and a little silliness during our "Gallery Walk" for our Non-Negotiables! Thought I'd share some pictures with you!

Geology Rocked, And So Did You!

I just wanted to take a second to let you all know how impressed I was with all of you! Your singing, your dancing, your ENERGY, and your smiles! You really pulled it off and I loved watching you!

When we first talked about doing a play, many of you said you were very nervous! Well, you were amazing! I hope this helped you understand that there isn't anything you can't do if you set your mind to it!

I can't stop smiling!

Your very proud teacher,
Mrs. Slezinger

Thank you, Mr. Nubla for the fantastic pictures!

We need a good photo of "the students" if anyone has one to add to this post!
Thanks!

We Won the Good Sportsmanship Gorilla!

During Fitness Week, students are observed at recess and lunch and receive "dazzles" for positive acts, especially good sportsmanship!

Today the winner was: ROOM 20!

Coach Allison said the major reason we won is because our class cheered on another class and told them how great THEIR cheer was! True examples of good sports!

Way to go, Green Emeralds! You are role models!

This Week in Room 20

Fitness Week Reminders

Try to wear our class color BRIGHT GREEN all week!  Shirts were sent home on Friday.  Eat a rainbow each day this week!  Our class is the GREEN EMERALDS!

Our walkathon will be on Tuesday at 9:00am.  Make sure to wear your fitness week shirt! Any parent who wishes to come and cheer and take pictures for our classroom is welcome. However, something new this year...no parents from fourth grade will be marking cards for our 4th graders as we walk laps. If you come to watch us walk, you may not mark cards.

Send in any Fitness Week/Walk A Thon donations by May 22. Thank you for your support!

To Ethiopia, With Love

This is the video we sent to Hailey to show our Ethiopian pen pals so they could have a glimpse into our American lives!
It is supplemented with pictures of my own kids and Hailey, just to make her smile a little bigger!

Open House This Wednesday!

Reminder

This Wednesday is Open House
March 25th from 6:00 - 7:00
We will get out of school at 12:30

Because Open House is not at the end of the year anymore, it is showing work accomplished so far, and work in progress.
You will get to experience activities, games, and experiments that your children are engaged in on a daily basis! Super FUN!

The students are very proud, and I know excited to share everything!

I am thrilled to be able to watch them share with you.

I encourage you all to attend!
